St. Antony's Public School, nestled and established in June 2002, in the serene surroundings of Kizhakkambalam, is not just a beacon of academic excellence but also a hub for fostering talent and character development among its students. The school is owned by St. Antony’s Forane Church, Kizhakkambalam and is run meticulously by St. Antony’s Educational Institution Trust.

Here are a few highlights:

1.INFRASTRUCTURE & FACILITIES:

The school could boast of its state-of-the-art infrastructure, including well-equipped air-conditioned classrooms, science and computer labs, a library stocked with a vast collection of books, and sports facilities such as a basketball court, volleyball ground football field and cricket net practice area. Added to this a fully functional gym, swimming pool, kids' indoor and outdoor play area cum park, a menagerie of birds and rare varieties of pet animals, horse-riding facility are the main attractions.

2. CURRICULUM:

St. Antony's Public School follows a comprehensive curriculum approved by the CBSE board, ensuring students receive a holistic education that prepares them for academic and professional success.

  • Agriculture: Introduced as a subject in Class XI for the academic year 2025-2026
  • In-order to inculcate love for one’s environment School Farming is included in the curriculum. It includes imparting methods of organic farming.
  • As a part of widening their global perspective foreign language like Italian is included from Grade 3 onwards.

Our Co-ed institution accommodates around 1500 plus students from Pre-KG to Grade XII, and offers the CBSE curriculum. In the Senior Secondary level, the school offers Science and Commerce streams with 11 different optional subjects.

Over these years for the SSE and SCE, CBSE Board exam, the school has been bagging astounding success.

In addition to academics, the school offers a plethora of extracurricular activities, including music, dance, drama, vocal & instrumental music, chenda, karate, taekwondo, kabaddi, hockey, volleyball, football, badminton, cricket, ball badminton, archery, school band and various clubs and societies, providing students with opportunities to explore their interests and talents beyond the scholastic arenas.

The school actively engages with the local community through various community awareness programs like Mass Herbal Saplings Distribution, Cleanliness Drive and initiatives aimed at promoting social responsibility and instilling values of compassion and empathy among students. The entire campus is filled with serene greenery made with a good collection of unique plants. Additionally, vertical gardens maintained well along the school corridors provide a soothing sight to all.

9. HEALTH & WELLNESS INITIATIVES

Our school is committed to promoting wellness and supporting the overall health and well-being of our students and staff. We will continue to evaluate and improve our wellness initiatives to ensure a positive and supportive school environment.

 Wellness programs include:

          a) ANTONIO GYM:

We have a well-equipped fitness centre for our students to make them fit and healthy. The GYM includes Separate areas for Weightlifting, Cardiovascular exercise, Stretching and Flexibility.

  • Provides Fitness classes and personal training sessions
  • Open gym hours for students and staff to use at their leisure.

          b) ANTONIO SWIMMING ACADEMY:

      We provide coaching classes for swimming for the students and allow them to practice in the swimming pool, which is maintained hygienically with the help of modern technology.

          c) ANTONIO HORSE RIDING:

As the part of health and wellness programmes, we introduced horse riding lessons. It has been a unique and enriching experience for the students.

10. SUSTAINABLE INFRASTRUCTURE

          a) ENERGY AND POWER:

Our school is proud to feature eco-friendly infrastructure, showcasing our commitment to environmental responsibility.

          b) SOLAR PANELS:

Generating renewable energy to power the entire school, reducing our carbon footprint and reliance on non-renewable sources.

          c) RAINWATER HARVESTING SYSTEMS:

Collecting and conserving rainwater for non-potable uses, minimizing water waste and promoting water conservation.

          d) WATER MANAGEMENT:

Our school collects and conserves rainwater for non-potable uses, such as irrigating plants and gardens, washing, cleaning etc.

          e) GREEN BUILDING PRACTICES:

Green roof walls, terrace to Vegetable Garden and vertical gardens serve as a living laboratory, enriching our students' educational experience and fostering a deeper appreciation for nature and sustainability.

 

 11. FLORA AND FAUNA AT SCHOOL CAMPUS:

Maryaan, our gentle and graceful horse, has been a cherished member of our school family. The birth of Minnie has generated immense excitement and curiosity among students, offering a unique opportunity for hands-on learning experiences.

Our school campus is now home to a diverse range of flora and fauna, including variety of plants, animals and birds like swans, pigeons, emu, rabbits, flying duck, aquarium, love birds, guineafowl, turkey and horses.

12. EXTRACURRICULAR OPPORTUNITIES:

A wide range of clubs, sports, arts, and environmental initiatives provide students with numerous opportunities to explore their interests. Green clubs, gardening projects, and nature conservation activities are particularly popular.

We have started an international knowledge-sharing program at our school. The primary objective of this program is to facilitate the exchange of knowledge between Grade IX students of Trinity School, Pensylvania, USA, and St. Antony’s Public School, Kizhakkambalam. The main focus is on fostering the sharing of information about both institutions.
